Unique Baby Shower Gifts
Baby Shower Invitations and Gifts
A baby shower is a very special time in a woman's life. This is the part when all of the excitement of having a baby is at its peak! It is also the time to gift the mommy-to-be with presents that will serve both her and the upcoming future of her newborn child in a wonderful and useful way. Besides, she most likely needs the help! Babies can be expensive, and parents from all around the world understand that all too well.
I have been looking through a couple of websites for the last few hours just trying to figure out what would be considered the most unique baby shower gifts. I haven't been able to come up with too much, but here is what I have so far:
1. Most Useful Gift - The one gift you can never go wrong with no matter what is a bag of diapers. But, since you'll be going to a baby shower, you might had better gift the mommy-to-be with more than one bag. Diapers are generally very cost-efficient when only buying a few bags. But it is when all of the diaper-buying is left up to the parents that the costs begin to add up! Did you know that a newborn baby goes through an estimated $60.00 to $80.00 a month in diapers? Yikes! To make things even more exciting, give her diapers to her in the form of a diaper cake. You can have them made or make them yourself!
2. Best Homemade Baby Shower Gift - If you know how to sew, then you could try making the baby his or her first blanket. You will need to make sure you put a lot of thought and time into the blanket to make it the most beautiful and decorative blanket the child will ever have. You may want to sew the child's name into it or
possible leave a place where he or she will be able to stamp their hand and footprints into the blanket.
3. Most Inexpensive Baby Shower Gift - Not everyone will be able to afford something extravagant for the baby shower, that is just life. In any event, it is always the thought that counts the most. Something that will benefit both mother and child is a bottle set. For those nights she is just too tired to breastfeed and needs some rest, all she has to do is pump her milk into the bottle and feed her newborn. There may also be days that she may not be there. She may have to work, or leave her child with relatives to run errands or have a night out on the town with her husband. Those nights are when the baby will definitely need a bottle!
4. Essential Gift Idea - When a child is first born, they need to be right there with their mother at all times. Since it can be dangerous to let a newborn sleep in the same bed as the mother, it is necessary to own a bassinet. What is great is that bassinets can be purchased brand new or passed down. If you have one, you might also want to consider giving her the one your child used as a newborn. Every parent needs one! To spice it up, throw in a couple of non-bulky blankets and some safe crib toys!
This is obviously not an extensive list of ideas, but it is all that I have thus far. Please feel free to let me know what you think and if you have any more ideas that I could add to the list. Perhaps you have a few ideas that you have used and were a big hit! That is exactly what we are looking for. We want ideas that are doable by everyone, but can remain unique in their own way.
